Welcome to F1X Dashboard ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the F1X Dashboard Chrome Extension (the "Service"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately uninstall and cease all use of the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and any future updates.

2. Description of the Service

F1X Dashboard is a browser extension modifying the default "New Tab" page to provide users with a customizable dashboard featuring motorsport statistics, upcoming race calendars, driver and constructor details, and enhanced session insights ("Live Pass"). Functionalities include:

• Replacing your browser's default new tab page.
• Providing an integrated search function via the new tab interface. We do not process, intercept, or monetize your search queries; they are passed directly to your browser's default search engine (e.g., Google).
• Displaying motorsport data sourced from publicly available third-party APIs (such as OpenF1 and Jolpica).
• Storing user preferences (e.g., favorite drivers/teams) and custom uploaded wallpapers directly within your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). We do not upload your custom wallpapers to our servers.

3. Unofficial Status and Intellectual Property

We do not claim ownership over any official motorsport data, driver names, team branding, or related trademarks. All statistical data, driver information, constructor names, and schedules displayed within the extension are the digital property of their respective owners and are utilized here under principles of fair use for informational purposes.

The code, design, aesthetic layout (including the neumorphic User Interface), logic, and architecture of the F1X Dashboard itself remain the exclusive intellectual property of the developer. You may not reverse engineer, copy, distribute, or create derivative works of our software without explicit written permission.

4. Data Accuracy and Availability Warning

All data presented within the F1X Dashboard — including but not limited to session insights, lap times, standings, points, weather conditions, and schedules — is fetched from third-party sources and automated APIs.

• No Guarantee of Accuracy: We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of this data.
• Delays and Downtime: Session data may be subject to inherent network delays, rate limiting, or API downtime out of our control.
• No Liability for Decisions: The data provided is purely for entertainment. You agree that we are not liable for any decisions, wagers, financial losses, or emotional distress resulting from inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable data within the Service.

5. Subscriptions and Payments ("Live Pass")

Certain premium features, notably access to enhanced session insights ("Live Pass"), require a paid subscription.

• Third-Party Processing: All payments are securely routed and processed by our third-party provider, DodoPayments. We do not transmit, process, or store your credit card or payment metadata on our databases.
• Auto-Renewal: Depending on the tier selected, subscriptions may renew automatically. It is your responsibility to manage or cancel your subscription via the provided DodoPayments portal link or extension settings.
• Non-Refundable: Due to the digital nature of the Service, all payments are final and non-refundable, except where strictly mandated by applicable consumer protection laws.
• Service Discontinuation: We reserve the right to modify the pricing of the Live Pass or discontinue premium features at any time. In the event the extension is permanently discontinued, active subscribers may not be entitled to a pro-rated refund.

6. User Accounts and Security

To access premium services, you must authenticate using your Google Account (via Firebase Authentication). You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we suspect of fraudulent activity, abuse, or violation of these Terms.

7. Permissions and Privacy

The extension requests specific permissions to function correctly (e.g., storage, search, and identity). We outline exactly how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER(S), CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES OF F1X DASHBOARD BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

1. YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE.
2. ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE.
3. ANY BUGS, VIRUSES, TROJAN HORSES, OR THE LIKE THAT MAY BE TRANSMITTED TO OR THROUGH OUR SERVICE BY ANY THIRD PARTY.
4. ANY ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN ANY DATA OR CONTENT RENDERED BY THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND CAUSES OF ACTION EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU, IF ANY, FOR ACCESSING OR USING THE PREMIUM FEATURES OF THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50.00), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the developer(s) of F1X Dashboard from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Right to Modify or Terminate

We are constantly innovating and updating the Service. We reserve the absolute right to:

• Modify, deprecate, or remove features within the extension at any time.
• Update these Terms of Service. We will notify you of any major changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the extension after changes indicates your acceptance.
• Terminate or restrict your access to the Service for any reason, without notice or liability.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
